World Expeditions Travel Group has announced its participation in the management buyout of SNP Natuureizen BV, a leading adventure travel company, based in the Netherlands.
SNP was founded by Dutch naturalists in 1984 and has more than 25 years of experience in adventure travel, offering a range of active holidays all over the world. The company employs more than 65 staff at its head office in Nijmejen and, like World Expeditions, operates active adventures, with various combinations of walking, hiking, cycling, birdwatching, canyoning, canoeing and kayakking.
World Expeditions Travel Group, CEO, Sue Badyari, said the buyout would provide World Expeditions with a greater presence in the European adventure travel market.
“We are delighted to participate in the buyout, as we’ve enjoyed a close working relationship with SNP in the past and we know that we share similar management values, as well as a long-established focus on non-mass market, sustainable tourism,” Ms Badyari said.
“We’re excited by the opportunities the buyout affords us moving forward and the potential synergies between SNP and our own active European brand, UTracks.
SNP Natuureizen BV’s director and CEO, Gert Nieuwboer, said SNP was thrilled to formalise a relationship with World Expeditions.
“We share the same core values as World Expeditions and we’re excited by our future prospects,” Mr Nieuwboer said.
