A number of tour companies are updating their travel policies in relation to the current situation with COVID19 Corona-Virus. Here is a run down of who is doing what in the industry.
Intrepid suspends all trips until 30 April
As of Monday 16 March 2020, Intrepid will suspend all trips, (excluding Australia trips) until 30 April 2020. If you are booked on an Australia tour, at this stage, your tour will go ahead as planned. Intrepid is urging customers whose trips are impacted to hold off from calling them unless your trip departs within 48 hours due to significant wait times. Intrepid will be contacting all customers travelling pre 30 April 2020 as soon as possible.

Globus announces Peace of Mind plan
Globus family of brands, consisting of Globus, Cosmos, Monograms and Avalon Waterways, has announced that it will voluntarily suspend travel through to 30 April 2020 and has initiated a NEW “Peace of Mind” plan for affected travellers.
This Peace of Mind plan provides Globus family of brands’ travellers booked on affected holidays from now through to 30 April 2020, the freedom to reschedule their holiday in 2020, 2021 or 2022, to any destination, on any brand, without incurring cancellation fees. The plan also offers travellers a credit of up to $300 per person when they reschedule their plans.

Contiki suspends trips
In light of the recent decision by the Australian government, all Australia and New Zealand trips due to depart before 30 April, 2020 are now suspended effective immediately. This is in addition to Contiki trips visiting Europe & UK, The Middle East, Asia, due to depart up to April 30, 2020, which were suspended as of 13 Match 2020.
Any travellers booked to travel on these departures will be able to change their trip or departure date free of charge. Contiki will be reaching out to affected travellers personally to help them rebook, free of charge on to a new trip in any destination for travel any time during 2020 or 2021, with a full credit of all monies paid redeemable against your revised trip with Contiki.
Travellers currently travelling in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, New Zealand and Australia with Contiki have the option to continue their travels or return home early and receive a pro-rata travel credit for the unused land portion of their trip. This is subject to conditions. For more visit

Raffe Hotels & Resorts updated cancellation policy
Raffe Hotels & Resorts (which owns and operates Plantation Island Resort, Lomani Island Resort & Fiji Gateway Hotel) has updated its cancellation & amendment policy, based on the ever evolving COVID-19 situation that has recently been classified as a pandemic.
Effective immediately, Raffe Hotels & Resorts will be waiving amendment fees for any guest who would like to re-book in the next 12 months.
“We hope that this flexible policy will give our guests and partners the confidence to keep their booking in place and know that it can be amended at any time without fees if the situation deteriorates further.”
