Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has confirmed Scenic Eclipse II will cruise into Sydney Harbour on Friday, 19 April 2024, before arriving in the port of Newcastle on 22 April, the city where Scenic was founded 38 years ago. The ship will then explore Australian waters for the first time with a series of luxurious journeys throughout 2024 to early 2026.
From the coastline of Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef and stunning islands, to the Northern Territory and Kimberley region, then onto the coast of Western Australia, Scenic Eclipse II will take guests on journeys of-a-lifetime in 6-star ultra-luxury with only 228 guests on board. Those keen to explore further afield can enjoy the wonders of New Zealand, remote East Antarctica and the Ross Sea region.
“With its enhanced ultra-luxury spaces, new culinary experiences and next generation submersible, Scenic Eclipse II reflects our commitment to continuous innovation and bringing life-changing experiences to guests,” said Anthony Laver, Scenic Group’s General Manager Sales and Marketing APAC. “As an Australian-founded company, we are incredibly proud to mark this significant milestone. The arrival of Scenic Eclipse II in Australian waters represents a new era in ocean cruising for this region, where ultra-luxury meets discovery.”
Scenic Eclipse II is the only cruise ship with two on-board helicopters, with guests able to experience flight-seeing excursions, heli-fishing in the Kimberley region and many more activities along the Australian coastline – that other ships cannot reach. The next-generation electric submersible^, Scenic Neptune II can transport up to eight guests 100metres below the surface and provides 270-degree panoramic views, offering a whole new way to experience such underwater wonders as the Great Barrier Reef. Guests can also enjoy included kayaking and stand-up paddle-boarding from the marina deck, whilst the more adventurous can glide through the crystal-waters of the Pacific by Seabob (all of which are included) or relax in the floating hammocks, inflatable trampoline or snorkel.
