Agents are invited to join the Port of Seattle’s virtual fam, ‘Cruise from Seattle and Taste Washington State’, to get an advance peek at the pleasures in store when we can travel – and cruise – once more.
As the premier gateway for Alaska cruises, with over 200 sailings on seven cruise lines scheduled for 2022, Seattle and Washington state are much more than a gateway. The state is a unique destination widely acclaimed for its diversity: culinary, cultural, and geographical.
Taking place on 3 November 2021, the virtual fam will highlight how the port navigated through opening during a pandemic to serve cruise ships to Alaska, and what to expect for your clients who are planning an Alaska cruise in 2022 and beyond. The fam will take agents from the cruise port to explore the nearby attractions that are so easily reached in Seattle, before sampling some of the trends, tastes and diverse scenery of Washington’s Whidbey & Camano Islands and premier wine region, Walla Walla, which are ideal for pre- and post-cruise stays.
The fam will be hosted by Ron Peck, Port of Seattle; Sherrye Wyatt, Whidbey & Camano Islands and Guy Glaeser, InquisiTours, with the opportunity to learn how to cook fresh mussels Whidbey Island-style, with a local chef.
Agents will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the destination and cruise port, and will be invited to enter a quiz for the chance to win a $200 MasterCard gift voucher.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 3 November 11am AEDT; 10am AEST; 1pm NZDT (duration 45 minutes).
