Club Med will host a virtual panel with Australia’s top travel industry experts on Thursday, 24 September, ahead of World Tourism Day held on 27 September each year.
Next Thursday, Club Med and fellow panellists will debate the hard hitting questions, including:
• What’s the significant impact of the international travel ban extension for Australian travellers and tour operators ahead of the busy Christmas holiday period?
• Are travel ‘bubbles’ the most effective way to kick-start international tourism?
• Looking ahead to the travel rebound, are the days of carefree international travel over?
• What will international travel look like in 2021 and beyond?
Pre-COVID-19, Australians spent the sixth highest amount globally on overseas travel in the world, which is impressive for a population of just 25 million people.
“This is our opportunity to come together as travel industry leaders and responsible travellers to discuss the Australian Federal Government’s decision to extend the international travel ban and how we best navigate the path forward,” said Rachael Harding, General Manager Pacific, Club Med. “Eager travellers are craving information and advice and we look forward to opening the conversation with them.”
Joining Club Med on the panel are representatives from Tourism Australia, Cathay Pacific, and the Collective Hub with Travel Presenter, Teigan Nash, moderating the event.
