Qatar Airways is celebrating 15 years of service in Australia with a special culinary offering, unveiling new First and Business Class menus featuring native Australian ingredients.
Available until 15 December 2024, the menus will delight travellers with an elevated dining experience using sustainably sourced local produce, reflecting Australia’s rich natural heritage.
A Culinary Tribute to Australia
The celebratory menus showcase flavours unique to Australia, with ingredients such as Queensland finger lime, South Australian bush tomato, and New South Wales lemon myrtle, enhancing the in-flight dining experience for passengers.
Some standout dishes include:
- Starter: Grilled Moreton Bay prawns and seared tuna, accompanied by Thai salad and a Queensland finger lime chilli dressing.
- Main Courses: Tasmanian mountain pepper with Gippsland beef tenderloin, and Western Australian lobster with ginger soy sauce.
- Dessert: Apple cream cake topped with Northern Tablelands strawberry gum compote, and honey hokey pokey chocolate ice cream.
- Cheese Platter: Featuring triple-cream from Woombye, Maffra cheddar, and Berry’s Creek blue vein cheese.
