Tahiti drops all restrictions for Australian travellers
The Islands of Tahiti are open to both vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers, with no restrictions. Travellers no longer have to complete any health formality before their arrival in The Islands of Tahiti and the presentation of the health pass/proof of full vaccination schedule is no longer required, whatever the country or area of origin. Travellers are no longer required to present a certificate of non-contamination and a commitment to perform an antigenic test or a biological examination upon arrival on the national territory (tests are no longer required). Unvaccinated travellers are no longer required to perform tests to travel to French Polynesia.
Travellers to French Polynesia with a stopover or transit in the United States must however comply with the entry requirements of the U.S. authorities. Transit passengers in New Zealand do not require proof of vaccination, however, travellers who stay in New Zealand on their way to French Polynesia, must comply with the entry requirements of the NZ authorities. EMBARK with NCL Series
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced its latest EMBARK with NCL Series, “The Evolution of Innovation,” a showcase of the history of cruising as well as the Company’s 55-year legacy of pioneering and defining holiday experiences at sea. With just a couple of weeks away from the highly anticipated debut of Norwegian Prima, this three-part program includes the “History of Innovation,” “The Evolution of Entertainment” and “The Future of the Cruise Experience.” The first episode premieres today, Friday 12 August at 10am AEST at www.ncl.com/embark and on Facebook, before all three episodes are made immediately available on-demand.
Tiny Away launches first Tasmanian tiny houses
Tiny Away, the tiny house company that’s all about experiencing nature in comfort, has opened the doors to its first Tasmanian tiny houses, growing its network of rural getaways. The ‘Quirindi’ tiny house is located in the quiet fishing village of Dunalley, just 45 minutes from Hobart, and the ‘Cottesloe’ tiny house is set in the beautiful town of Hagley, not too far from Launceston. Boasting a range of stunning designs and state-of-the-art features both inside and outside, these impressively self-sufficient “compact homes on wheels” are made with sustainable materials and include waterless compost toilets, rainwater collections tanks for showers, and solar panels.
Emirates takes its on-board customer experience to new heights
Priding itself on a brand promise of ‘Fly Better’, Emirates is investing over US$ 2 billion to enhance its inflight customer experience, including a massive programme to retrofit over 120 aircraft with the latest interiors, plus an array of other service improvements across all cabins starting in 2022.
Sir Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline said, “While others respond to industry pressures with cost cuts, Emirates is flying against the grain and investing to deliver ever better experiences to our customers. Through the pandemic, we’ve continued to launch new services and initiatives to ensure our customers travel with assurance and ease, including digital initiatives to improve customer experiences on the ground. Now we’re rolling out a series of intensive programmes to take Emirates’ signature inflight experiences to the next level.”
Some of Emirates’ latest initiatives include elevated meal choices, a brand new vegan menu, a ‘cinema in the sky’ experience, cabin interior upgrades, sustainable choices and a generous approach to the little touches that make travel memorable.
