It is that time of the year when all the Earlybird deals start rolling out, from airfares to tours including free flights. Rail travel also offers some fantastic deals if you get in early.
In 2019, Eurail reduced their pricing by up to 35 percent, and the Earlybird prices for 2020 are further discounted representing excellent value.
The positive changes made to the Eurail Program in 2019 saw a significant increase in sales during the Earlybird season of approximately 25 percent.
CEO of International Rail, Jonathan Hume, spoke to Travel Monitor about how to make the most of your early bird bookings with rail.
According to Jonathan Hume, the best time to travel by rail in 2020 is anytime from April to Sept in UK/Europe, especially during the shoulder seasons around May and Sept when there are less crowds on the trains.
“Eurail Passes offer excellent value for money, particularly around the Earlybird season where either free travel days or healthy discounts are offered to book in advance. Customers can enjoy unlimited rail travel in 1st class from just $52 per day, and even less with Earlybird specials.”
A great feature of the Eurail Pass is that is can now be used up to 11 months in advance, meaning travellers can purchase during the Earlybird season and use right through to the end of the European peak travel period. With the currency somewhat volatile, this means clients can lock in prices now and avoid potential price increases.
