Globus family of brands (GFOB), which includes Avalon Waterways, Globus, and Cosmos, has announced key additions and promotions within its sales team as the company gears up to meet the growing demand from Australian travellers in 2024 and beyond.
The new hires and transitions are set to boost sales efforts and strengthen GFOB’s presence across the Australian market.
New Appointments
Kate Jury has been appointed as Business Development Manager for Victoria North/West and Tasmania. With over a decade of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Kate brings a wealth of knowledge from her previous role as Business Development Manager for Global Touring, representing Back-Roads Touring and Topdeck Travel. Known for her skills in sales, marketing, account management, and customer service, Kate’s expertise, combined with her passion for travel, will be instrumental in developing long-term partnerships with key trade partners for GFOB.
Internal Promotions
Melinda Wouda, previously the Business Development Manager for western and northern Victoria and Tasmania, has been promoted to the role of National Account Manager. Melinda’s five years with GFOB have seen her build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, and her new national role reflects her commitment and dedication to the company. She will continue to represent GFOB as an ambassador, driving growth on a larger scale.
Josh Galea is set to take on the role of Business Development Manager for South and East Victoria. Josh, who rejoined GFOB nine months ago, has demonstrated exceptional sales growth in his current territory. With his move to Victoria in early November, Josh will bring his knowledge and enthusiasm to his new position, where the company expects continued success.

Kate and Melinda have already started in their new roles, while Josh will begin his position in South and East Victoria on 4 November 2024.
