Botanica World Discoveries has added a new spring tour to South Australia’s Kangaroo Island as part of its lineup of 2021 itineraries. The 4-day small group tour has been designed to combine with the South Australia’s Wine & Roses tour which includes a visit to Sophie Thomson’s own private garden, Sophie’s Patch.
Departing Adelaide on 15 October 2021, the tour is priced from $2,995 per person, twin share and includes three nights at the Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge, seven meals, airport transfers on first and last day; travel on a comfortable coach with room to spread out and daily sightseeing activities.
Celebrity gardener, popular author and media personality, Sophie Thomson is an avid horticulturalist who worked on crucial bushfire recovery on Kangaroo Island earlier in the year and she has continued her support for the community ever since.
“South Australia’s Kangaroo Island is a place I cherish, a biodiversity hotspot where I’d been filming only a month prior to the devastating fires which ripped through the island this year. I am so proud of the Parndana Community Garden and I can’t wait to share it with Botanica guests,” said Sophie.
While touring with Sophie Thomson, guests will visit the Parndana Community Garden, a rapid build project she developed in response to the 2020 bushfires, as well as a range of private gardens on Kangaroo Island, open exclusively for Botanica guests.
