Carnival expands team to meet growing demand

Carnival Cruise Line has announced significant enhancements to its Australian sales team, reinforcing its commitment to the travel agent community.

Sarah Miller, a valued Carnival team member with six years of dedicated service, has been promoted to Key Account Manager. Additionally, the company is expanding its presence by introducing a new Business Development Manager (BDM) role for Queensland, aimed at providing travel agents with enhanced support as Carnival prepares for growth into 2025.

Sarah Miller Promoted to Key Account Manager

In her new role, Sarah Miller will concentrate on strengthening relationships with Carnival’s key accounts, building on her extensive experience and exceptional performance. Known for her signature blend of enthusiasm and professionalism, Sarah has consistently delivered impressive results for Carnival.

“Sarah’s promotion reflects our commitment to recognising and nurturing talent within our team,” said Mark Richards, National Sales Manager of Carnival Cruise Line Australia. “Her outstanding results, energy, and strategic insight make her an invaluable asset. We’re confident she’ll drive even greater success with our key accounts, supporting our travel agent partners in new and impactful ways.”

New BDM Role in Queensland to Support Regional Agents

In response to the rising demand for cruises and to better serve Queensland travel agents, Carnival Cruise Line has created a new BDM position specifically for the region. This role will provide agents with personalised support and resources, helping them to capitalise on opportunities across Carnival’s expanding offerings. The new BDM will offer on-the-ground assistance and tailored resources to ensure travel agents in Queensland can meet the growing interest from Australian travellers.

“Our travel agent partners are at the heart of everything we do,” Richards added. “By expanding our team in Queensland, we’re doubling our efforts to support agents and respond to the increasing demand from travellers. With Sarah’s promotion and the addition of a new BDM, we’re set to make 2025 a year of outstanding success for both our partners and Carnival.”

Fleet Expansion and Growth in 2025

These developments align with an exciting period for Carnival Cruise Line, as the company prepares to welcome two additional ships from P&O Cruises Australia into its fleet in 2025. This expansion will bring Carnival’s year-round fleet to three ships operating from Sydney and Brisbane, with a seasonal deployment of Carnival Luminosa based in Brisbane, dubbed the “FUNShine State.”

Strengthening Partnerships with Travel Agents

Carnival’s recent initiatives underline its dedication to the travel agent community. With an expanded sales team and increased resources, the company continues to build lasting relationships with agents, ensuring they have the support needed to thrive as Carnival grows its presence in Australia.
