Banff & Lake Louise Tourism (BLLT) has launched a comprehensive Trip Planner tool allowing travel agents to seamlessly plan their clients’ holidays to the Canadian Rockies.
Integrated into the BLLT website, the tool delivers an interactive digital planner to build out custom itineraries featuring ideas for inspiration amongst three themes; Experiences, Accommodation plus Food & Drink. Agents can select future dates of travel, name a trip, and then drop and drag a variety of experiences into each day in Banff National Park. Once saved, the itinerary planner itemises a day-by-day outline of the experiences with need to know information, distances, time required, and a mapping reference.
Encompassing different user journeys, based on their stage of planning, the Trip Planner tool allows agents to build out a personalised itinerary or utilise a number of pre-built itineraries for inspiration including, Nuture Yourself in Nature, Walk on the Wild Side and Christmas in the Mountains.
Year round experiences feature on the Trip Planner including the coming winter season from December to April covering skiing at one of three mountain resorts, dog sledding, ice skating, sampling regional cuisine on the Eat the Castle tour, and soaking in the vistas from the Banff Gondola. While planning for summer 2022 highlights canoeing on Lake Louise, driving the Ice fields Parkway, taking a ride on an Ice Explorer to the Athabasca Glacier, and driving on the Bow Valley Parkway, a renowned wildlife corridor in Banff National Park.
The Trip Planner also helps reduce congestion in key locations in Banff National Park by encouraging sustainable transit options. Feature and functionality roll outs will be ongoing supporting travel agents in a seamless journey for itinerary building to the Canadian Rockies.
All travellers into Canada must use ArriveCAN (app or web portal) to submit their travel information. Fully vaccinated travellers will not have to quarantine upon arrival in Canada.
