Tourism Australia has confirmed that Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), that was due to take place in Melbourne in May 2020, has been cancelled.
The decision follows yesterday’s announcement by the Prime Minister banning all non-essential indoor gatherings of more than 100 people.
Tourism Australia managing director, Phillipa Harrison, said that while the decision to cancel this year’s ATE is obviously very disappointing, and a further blow to the industry, the health and welfare of attendees has to be the primary concern.
All buyer and seller delegates will be provided with a full refund of registration fees. News of ATE21, including venue and dates, will be announced in due course.
