Departing on 5 November 2019, this roundtrip from Colombo includes travelling on the highly acclaimed steam train, the Viceroy Special, and participating in a selection of art workshops and creative experiences by Sri Lankan-born Australian artist and art tutor, Chan Dissanayake, who will accompany the group on this adventure.
Highlights of the tour include seven scenic train trips including the Mountain Railway and The Coast Line, visiting eight World Heritage sites including Sigiriya, Kandy, Galle and more, staying in iconic hotels such as the Geoffrey Bawa-designed Heritance Kandalama and Lighthouse Hotels. Guests will have the chance to interact with locals and to help rebuild their confidence first-hand to show that Australians are willing to support this diverse nation that has so much to offer travellers.
This exclusively escorted tour is priced from $10,475 per person twin share and includes accommodation, mostly five star, with daily breakfast and many local meals, luxury charter coach with luggage transport on rail travel days, entry fees on a vast variety of guided sightseeing excursions and even includes all tips and gratuities plus visa fees (if applicable) Airport transfers may be included on select flights from Australia.
