Helloworld Travel’s Air Tickets has become the first ticketing consolidator in Australia to integrate a direct NDC (New Distribution Capability) API connection with Emirates, setting a new benchmark for innovation in the travel trade.
The Emirates direct API connection promises to deliver exclusive benefits for Air Tickets’ travel agent customers, including access to differentiated content and lower SmartNDC® fares. The rollout has commenced with a pilot group of agencies, with plans to make Emirates NDC fares widely available to all Air Tickets customers in the coming months.
Using the Air Tickets ‘Shop, Book and Ticket’ platform, agents will enjoy a broader range of booking classes and competitive fares. Additional features such as seat maps and seat selection will be introduced after the pilot phase, further enhancing the booking experience.
Rohan Moss, Group General Manager – Consolidation, emphasised the innovative nature of the development, which was entirely crafted by Air Tickets’ business systems team.
“This API connection ensures that our customers have access to the best value fares, ticketing, re-shopping, and SmartRefunds®—our NTIA 2024 award-winning technology innovation,” said Moss. The system also integrates seamlessly with Air Tickets’ existing portal, offering a streamlined process for queues, refunds, and ticketing.
“We are proud to be the first Australian consolidator certified by Emirates for a direct NDC API connection,” Moss stated. “This milestone gives our customers unparalleled access to Emirates’ complete range of fares and products, blending the best of both NDC and traditional fare distribution.”
This groundbreaking initiative reinforces Air Tickets’ position as a leader in travel technology, delivering innovative solutions for its agency partners while enhancing value and efficiency.
