Each year Rocky Mountaineer offers travel partners the chance to join a Learning Journey to experience a train journey first hand, and already this year hosted learning journeys have welcomed 80 travel professionals from Australia and New Zealand.
The Learning Journey program follows a specialised tour, modelled after one of the most popular packages: First Passage to the West Excursion. The itinerary is seven days, including two days on the train, and one day in Vancouver, Banff and Calgary.
All hotels and land travel are included in the trip. Meals onboard the train are included, as well as a cocktail reception in Vancouver and dinner in Calgary.
There is a nominal charge to join a Learning Journey and all international flights and airport transfers are the responsibility of the attendee.
In April, Evelyn Cassar from Mosman Travel and Kelly Gainsford from House of Travel in NZ took part in a Rocky Mountaineer Learning Journey, experiencing both levels of service – GoldLeaf and SilverLeaf – and various activities in the overnight destinations to better support clients through the booking process.
