LATAM Airlines Group has announced another new change and cancellation policies for customers due to COVID-19.
For customers with tickets to travel until 31 May 2020 to/from destinations with border restrictions (including Australia, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Europe, Israel, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, and Uruguay) and for customers impacted by flight cancellations or schedule changes, the following options are available.
Change of date and/or destination
– Customers can change their flight dates to fly before 31 December, 2020 with the following conditions:
– One change is allowed per booking, subject to cabin availability
– No charge for the fare difference provided it is the same origin/destination- Bookings to be made in the lowest available class
-For customers who want to change their ticket to fly after 31 December, 2020, the fare difference must be paid.
Cancelling a booking
Customers can cancel their flights and retain the value of the ticket as a travel credit. The ticket can be used as a form of payment for a future purchase as long as travel begins by 31 December, 2020 or within 12 months of the original travel date (whichever date is earlier).
If a customer wants to cancel their booking for a refund, it is subject to fare regulations.
