Expedia Group and Microsoft have launched a new strategic partnership that gives travellers booking through Microsoft Bing more value through dual loyalty rewards.
Now, travellers booking eligible accommodations on Bing earn points in both the Microsoft Rewards program and Expedia Group’s One Key travel rewards program, making this partnership a standout for travellers seeking added value on their trips.
The collaboration combines Expedia Group’s renowned travel offerings, powered by Rapid API, with Bing’s popular Microsoft Rewards, granting users access to over 750,000 hotels and holiday homes worldwide, competitive rates, and a seamless booking experience.
President of Private Label Solutions at Expedia Group, Alfonso Paredes, emphasizes the importance of loyalty programs in the travel industry, saying, “Our unique partnership underscores the importance of travel within loyalty programs and its ability to amplify value, variety, and member retention. In today’s competitive landscape, differentiation in loyalty programs is crucial.”
Through this partnership, travellers booking through Bing now enjoy flexible options to earn and redeem rewards across Microsoft and Expedia Group properties. According to Arrivia’s 2024 Travel Outlook, 56 per cent of brands are interested in introducing expanded reward options, highlighting a trend towards flexible loyalty programs that cater to consumers’ desire for simplicity and added value.
This loyalty integration is currently available in 16 global markets, including the US, Canada, the UK, Italy, and Australia.
