The Australian tourism industry’s most significant annual business-to-business event, the 45th Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE25), will return to Brisbane/Meanjin in 2025.
This marks the fourth time Brisbane has hosted the event, with previous editions held in 2001, 2002, and 2007. ATE25 will be conducted in partnership with Tourism & Events Queensland and supported by the Brisbane Economic Development Agency.
The event, scheduled from 27 April 2025 to 1 May 2025, will take place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Designed to strengthen Australia’s tourism sector, ATE25 will bring together 1,500 Australian tourism businesses and 700 international buyers from over 30 countries for scheduled business appointments and strategic networking opportunities.
A Platform for Global Connections
ATE provides a critical platform for international buyers to experience Australia’s tourism offerings through pre- and post-event familiarisations. This immersive approach allows buyers to gain first-hand insights into Australian destinations, improving their ability to market and promote the nation’s attractions effectively to international audiences.
ATE24, held this past year, demonstrated the event’s impact on tourism promotion, with over 1,500 Australian sellers and 714 buyers from 37 countries attending. Notably, 60 seller organisations and 101 buyer organisations participated for the first time, reflecting the event’s expanding reach and relevance. Feedback from ATE24 indicated a high level of satisfaction, with 100% buyer satisfaction and 99% seller satisfaction. Additionally, 99% of buyers reported an increased ability to market Australia, and 94% of both buyers and sellers rated their return on investment as good, very good, or excellent.
Seller Applications Closing Soon
Seller applications for ATE25 are open but closing shortly, with the deadline set for 1 November 2024. Australian tourism operators are encouraged to visit the event website to secure a place and benefit from direct access to global distribution partners eager to explore Australia’s tourism landscape.
ATE25 is set to be a milestone event, connecting Australian tourism businesses with global partners and showcasing the nation’s unique attractions to the world.
