The entry-level Superior Deluxe Room is freshly refurbished, packed with state-of-the-art technology that is so smart, it can be tailored to suit your personal preferences. Making yourself at home is as easy as pushing a button. The moment you walk in the door, the blinds automatically lift to display a view of the coastal beach or towards the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Each room includes an integrated control system, one king or two double beds, The Star’s signature range of luxurious bedding and pillows, indulgent bathing amenities from Appelles, a dual rain showerhead and hand-held shower, in-room safe and tea and coffee making facilities. The Superior Deluxe Room averages 32 square metres of space, with other room categories increasing in size from there.

The dining

You won’t go hungry or thirsty at The Star Gold Coast. There is a choice of 10 dining outlets within the complex alone, all serving up a different style of cuisine. Harvest Buffet (reopening on 3 December) is the ultimate buffet experience including the freshest seafood, roasts from the carvery and a decadent dessert buffet. With a menu created by visionary Executive Head Chef Chase Kojima, Kiyomi gives diners a modern, yet authentic taste of Tokyo (without the long haul flight).

Cucina Vivo is the place to grab Italian cuisine and at Mei Wei Dumplings you can have a hawker-style meal of, you guest it, dumplings. Sometimes you just need a coffee and a bit of cake, then head over to M&G Cafe and Bar. Food Quarter cooks up a storm for the casual diners looking for lunch, dinner, coffee or a midnight snack.

Last but not least is Garden Kitchen & Bar. This is where hotel guests will enjoy breakfast surrounded by cascading greenery in a modern design. Take it to the top at Nineteen at The Star, situated on the rooftop with sweeping views down the iconic Gold Coast coastline where you can immerse yourself in the uber-chic lounge bar. The 22 metre bar in the heart of the action, Cherry serves up designer drinks along with a signature seasonal cocktail menu crafted by The Star’s highly-talented team of mixologists. Catch all the sports action in the Sports Bar or for a dash of exotic, head over to Kiyomi Bar which serves up a distinctly Japanese bar experience.
